Office Skiing #### About This Event **Skiing Out the Ocean House Main Corridor into the Great Vast Sea** There are event descriptions, and then there's this. Picture it: the grand main corridor of the historic Ocean House, its polished floors gleaming under the chandeliers that have watched over a century of arrivals and departures. Now imagine that same corridor, transformed — not with velvet ropes or a red carpet, but with a full run of packed snow, stretching from the front reception desk all the way out through the great double doors, down the coastal steps, and straight into the roaring, foam-capped embrace of the open ocean. This is not a metaphor. This is the event. Guests will gather at the top of the corridor, skis strapped in, hearts pounding, as they take in the surreal spectacle before them: antique oil paintings of long-departed sea captains watching from the walls, the scent of salt air mixing with polished mahogany, and a slope of glittering snow carving a path through a building that has never once, in all its history, seen anything like this. One by one, adventurers will push off from the lobby, gliding past the grand staircase, weaving between marble columns repurposed as slalom gates, and building speed as the corridor opens up toward the sea-facing terrace. And then — the drop. The final stretch is no ordinary run. It's a thrilling descent down the cliffside embankment, snow giving way to sea spray, skis carving through the last few meters of packed ice before launching skiers airborne over the rocky shoreline and, at last, crashing triumphantly into the great vast sea itself. The Atlantic doesn't care about your form. It doesn't care about your technique. It simply welcomes you, cold and vast and indifferent, as the crowd on the terrace erupts into cheers. This is equal parts absurd spectacle, physical challenge, and once-in-a-lifetime photo opportunity. Whether you're an experienced skier looking for the strangest run of your life, or a spectator content to watch from the safety of the terrace with a warm drink in hand, this event promises a story you'll be telling for years: the day the Ocean House opened its doors and let the mountain meet the sea.
